Apple Releases Golden Masters of iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4

Apple Releases Golden Masters of iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4

Apple today released the golden master version of the iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4 updates. The releases come after a little over one month of testing.

Both Golden Masters are available to developers over the air on the devices with the proper configuration installed. Developers can also download the Golden Masters from the Apple Developer Center.

Both 13.4 updates bring significant new features to the iPhone and iPad. A new toolbar in the Mail app is available while viewing an email, offering a more logical layout designed to address complaints about the app in earlier versions of iOS 13. The new toolbar moves the reply icon away from the delete icon, It also adds new “Folder” and “Compose” icons.

iCloud Folder Sharing, which initially debuted at WWDC 2019 as an iOS 13 feature, is finally making an appearance. The feature offers real-time updates syncing file changes across the devices of all people with access to a folder.

Nine new Memoji and Animoji stickers come along for the ride, with new stickers featuring new poses, such as a face with floating hearts, eyes rolling, and more.

Updated settings for the TV app on iPhone and iPad, with new options for controlling data downloads and streaming.

The Safari URL bar in iOS 13.4 has received a subtle but welcome change to how it works, allowing users to tap into the URL bar right away even when a URL is highlighted. In iOS 13.3.1, an extra tap outside of a URL was required to deselect it before it could be tapped to be edited.

The ‌iPadOS‌ 13.4 update brings mouse and trackpad support for the iPad Pro. Apple announced the ‌iPad Pro‌ keyboard with trackpad alongside a new iPad Pro earlier today.
