Verizon: No Account Disconnects or Late Fees Through June 30

Verizon on Monday announced that it will not disconnect the service of individual customers and small businesses that are unable to pay their bills through June 30.

Verizon is extending its commitment to keep our customers connected through June 30. This means we will neither terminate service nor charge late fees to our postpaid wireless, residential, and small business customers that notify us of their inability to pay their bills due to disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Customers can notify us by visiting here.

The policy applies to postpaid wireless, residential, and small business customers that notify Verizon of an inability to pay their bills. Users in need of such assistance will be required to follow Verizon’s instructions and fill out a form on the website to avoid fees.

The carrier has also provided customers with an extra 15GB of hotspot data for free in both April and May. Consumer and small business customers with 50 lines or less with shared data plans, hotspots, and jetpacks will gain and extra 15GB of data, which, for May, can be used from May 1 through May 31. There is no action needed as this data will automatically be added to consumer and small business accounts.
