Apple Online Store Closed for ‘Updates’ Ahead of ‘Time Flies’ Virtual Event

Apple Online Store Closed for ‘Updates’ Ahead of ‘Time Flies’ Virtual Event

Apple’s online store has been closed down for updates just ahead of the company’s “Time Flies” virtual event later on Tuesday. This is normal for the Cupertino firm, and traditionally means the products debuting at the event will be available for order or pre-order immediately following the event.

The placeholder shows an animated neon outline of an Apple with the tagline: “We’re making updates to the Apple store. Check back soon.”

The “Time Files” event today will be a virtual media event, where Apple is expected to unveil new Apple Watch and iPad Air models. We don’t expect to see a new iPhone 12 lineup unveiled at the event, as Apple is expected to debut the new handsets in October.

Apple’s media event will kick off at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (1:00 p.m. Eastern Time) and is available for viewing on Apple’s event page, on the company’s YouTube channel, or via the TV app on Apple devices.

MacTrast will provide coverage of all announcements immediately following the event.
