Apple TV App Now Available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5

As expected, the Apple TV app is now available for download to your PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles, available in the PlayStation Store.

Sony’s PlayStation 5 officially launches today, November 12, in the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. Availability will expand to other countries on November 19.

The Apple TV app serves as a way for viewers to access Apple’s own fledgling streaming platform, Apple TV+. It also offers viewers a variety of content from the iTunes Store and third-party content from numerous content providers, including HBO, Showtime, Starz, and many other services.

The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 release of the Apple TV app comes on the heels of the app’s release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S consoles. In addition to these game consoles, the Apple TV app is available for the Mac, Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, and Samsung, LG, VIZIO, and Sony Smart TVs.
