Apple to Offer ‘Launch@Apple’ College Mentorship Program in 2021

Apple is offering a new “Launch@Apple” program that is aimed at first-generation college students who are majoring in finance, economics, and accounting. The program, which has not been widely announced by Apple, will start at some point in early 2021.

Apple is reportedly hosting a PDF that describes the program. It is not known to whom the PDF is being shared and how, but applications are due by January 8, 2021.

The mentorship will pair students with Apple mentors and provides resources for learning and professional growth. Participants will likely have access to job shadowing, paid internships, and other opportunities.

The PDF, shared by MacRumors offers a description of some of the program’s features. An official application doesn’t seem to be available, but applicants should send their information to launch@apple.com, according to the information in the PDF.

The Launch@Apple program is seeking students with the following qualifications:

  • In first or second year of college
  • Parent or legal guardian has not obtained a college degree
  • Intending to major in finance, economics, accounting, or similar discipline relating to business, mathematics, commerce, or data analytics
  • Eager to learn about working in finance in a fast-paced, innovative environment

Applicants are required to answer a series of questions designed to provide personal information and qualifications, such as life challenges, why they should be accepted, and what gives them joy.

MyHealthyApple shared details on Monday, and last week, a LinkedIn post also promoted the program. Apple is accepting applications from students with a wide range of GPAs.
