User reports on social media indicate that various Facebook services are experiencing outages. Reports indicate Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Facebook itself are all currently suffering outages.
MacRumors reports that the majority of issues appear to be focused in European countries, but issues have been reported by users in other countries too.
Users of the Facebook-owned apps report issues connecting to the platforms, leaving them unable to post or access news feeds, direct messages, and stories.
“We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible,” a company spokesperson said.
Outage tracking website Downdetector.com showed a recent increase in reports of issues with Facebook and its associated services. At the time of this article, there are thousands of incidents of users reporting issues with Messenger, Instagram, and Facebook.
