Apple Honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. With Tribute on Homepage

Today is Martin Luther King Jr. day in the United States, the annual federal holiday set aside to honor the life and legacy of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

As usual, Apple has honored Dr. King with a full-page tribute on its website. The full-page tribute includes a quote from Dr. King.

“True peace is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice.”

The page also says:

“We honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his leadership in civil rights.” 

Dr. King was an American Baptist minister and activist who was a leader in the Civil Rights Movement. He is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs. King was assassinated on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee.
