Production has kicked off on the second season of the popular Apple TV+ sports-themed comedy, “Ted Lasso.” The new season could premiere on Apple TV+ as soon as summer 2021.
Apple has agreed to produce a second and a third season of “Ted Lasso,” as the series has proven to be popular with viewers. However, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has delayed the production of “Lasso,” along with that of numerous other series and movies.
“Time to start warming those biscuits,” Apple posted to Twitter on its official Apple TV account. “Production for @TedLasso Season 2 has officially begun!”

Unfortunately for “Lasso” fans that have been roped into the Jason Sudeikis and Bill Lawrence series, the show is expected to run for only three seasons. Lawrence has already announced that the series would end at the end of season three.
