Bloomberg: iPad Pro With Mini-LED Display, Thunderbolt Port Coming in April at the Earliest

Apple will introduce new iPad Pros as early as April, says a new report today by Bloomberg. The report says Apple will refresh its iPad Pro lineup, with new models that “look similar to the current iPad Pros” in 11 and 12.9-inch screen size options.

The new iPads are expected to feature better cameras, as well as an updated A14X processor that will provide performance “on par” with the M1 chip found in the latest MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini models.

The updated mini-LED display will be “at least” included on the largest 12.9-inch iPad Pro model, indicating the smaller iPad Pro will not include the new display, which will bring improved brightness and contrast ratios.

Apple has also tested ‌iPad‌ Pros with a Thunderbolt connector, which would make them compatible with additional external monitors, hard drives, and peripherals, as well as faster data syncing.
