iOS 14.4.1 and iPadOS 14.4.1 Now Available – Provides Important Security Updates

Apple on Monday released iOS 14.4.1 and iPadOS 14.4.1, which contain security updates. The updates come more than a month following the release of the iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 updates.

iOS 14.4.1 and iPadOS 14.4,1 are available as an over-the-air update on eligible devices, in the Settings app. To access the new software, go to “Settings” -> “General” -> “Software Update.

According to Apple’s release notes, the update offers important security updates and is recommended for all users. An Apple security support document says that the updates fix a WebKit bug that could allow maliciously crafted web content to arbitrarily execute code.

Available for: iPhone 6s and later, iPad Air 2 and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation)

Impact: Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution

Description: A memory corruption issue was addressed with improved validation.
