August 28 Apple Watch Activity Challenge to Celebrate National Parks

Apple’s next Apple Watch Activity Challenge will take place on August 28 to “appreciate the beauty of national parks all over the world.” Apple Watch users can earn the achievement by hiking, walking, doing a wheelchair workout, or running at least one mile.

Let’s take a day to appreciate the beauty of national parks all over the world. On August 28, earn this award by recording a hike, walk, run, or wheelchair workout of a mile (1.6 km) or more with any app that adds workouts to Health.

The Apple Watch Activity Challenges are designed to promote the use of the Watch for fitness. Completing any of the challenges with any workout app that saves information to Apple’s Fitness app will unlock the achievement on the Apple Watch, iPhone, and in Apple’s Messages app.

Users can also complete the challenge using Apple Fitness+, which offers a variety of different categories of content as well as Time To Walk workouts.

Apple Watch users will receive a notification about the upcoming new Activity Challenge prior to when it begins.
