New Photo Shows ‘iPhone 13’ Name Used on Alleged Packaging Sticker Tabs

A photo that allegedly shows the sticker tabs used to seal Apple’s upcoming new iPhones in their boxes appears to confirm that “iPhone 13” will be the moniker for the 2021 iPhone lineup.

While this isn’t a big surprise, the photo – which was highlighted by “DuanRui” on Twitter, linking to a post on the Chinese social media network Weibo – appears to confirm the use of the expected name for this year’s iPhone.

Which the veracity of the photos has not been confirmed, it does jibe with the traditional timeline of new iPhone releases. iPhone 13 packaging has likely been set in stone by this point in the year. Apple is expected to debut its 2021 iPhone lineup next month.

While most reliable sources have consistently referred to the 2021 iPhone lineup as the “iPhone 13” lineup. However, a few leakers and some observers on social media have claimed the new iPhones would carry the “iPhone 12S” moniker.

The 2021 iPhone lineup is expected to debut in September. The new handsets are expected to boast a number of new features, including new camera features, a 120Hz display, an A15 chip, 1TB of storage, and more.
