New Report Claims iPhone SE 3 to Feature iPhone XR-Like Design, Touch ID, LCD Display

Apple’s upcoming third-generation iPhone SE will boast a design similar to the iPhone XR, will offer Touch ID built into the side button, and will be the last iPhone to use an LCD display, says Chinese site MyDrivers.

The report, shared by MacRumors, says that the design of the third-generation ‌iPhone SE‌ is similar to the ‌iPhone‌ XR, and will feature a ‌Touch ID‌ fingerprint scanner built into the side button. The report also claims the iPhone SE 3 will feature an LCD display, the A15 Bionic chip, and 5G connectivity. The report says the iPhone SE 3 is expected to be Apple’s final ‌iPhone‌ with an LCD display.

The ‌iPhone SE‌ currently shares the same design as the now-discontinued ‌iPhone‌ 8, with a ‌Touch ID‌ scanner built into the Home Button.

MyDrivers says the third-generation ‌iPhone SE‌ is scheduled to launch in the spring of 2022, and storage options will start with 64GB of storage. it is expected to have the same $399 starting price as the current model.
