Apple Seeds Second Public Betas of iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2

Apple today seeded the second public betas of iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2 to developers. The beta releases come two weeks after the first public beta releases.

Public builds of iOS 15.2, iPadOS 15.2 can be downloaded via the Apple Beta Software Program website by users signed up to take part in the testing program. If you’re interested in trying out the betas of the upcoming operating systems you can sign up for the program by clicking the same link.

iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2 add support for App Privacy Report, which allows users to see how often apps are accessing sensitive info granted to them through privacy permissions, such as location, camera, microphone, and contacts.

iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 introduced the Record App Activity feature, allowing people to save a summary of sensor, data, and internet access from apps on their device.

iOS 15.2 beta 2 adds Apple’s Messages Communication Safety feature for kids, and a modified Notification Summary.

An update to Emergency SOS Auto Call feature allows it to be enabled by pressing on the side button rapidly or holding down the side button and the volume button together. A longer eight-second countdown (up from three seconds) now gives users more time to cancel an accidental dial.

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver iPhone or iPad. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
