iCloud Private Relay is Down for Some Users

Apple’s iCloud Private Relay option is not working for some users. At the time of this article, Apple’s System Status page shows the feature is experiencing an outage and is currently not available.

The System Status page shows the outage as starting at 11:40 a.m. Pacific Time. If you’re having iCloud‌ Private Relay issues you may see a notification letting you know that the feature is currently down, but will be re-enabled when it is once again working.

If you go to the ‌iCloud‌ Private Relay on your device, the setting shows that it is temporarily unavailable due to a technical problem.

Private Relay is an internet privacy service that hides your IP address in Safari and protects your unencrypted traffic. When it’s on, you can browse the web in a more secure and private way. Private Relay is currently in beta. Some websites may have issues, like showing content for wrong regions or requiring extra steps to sign in.

‌iCloud‌ Private Relay is available to anyone with a paid ‌iCloud‌ account.
