Second iOS 15.2 Betas Brings Toggle For Macro Mode in Camera App on iPhone 13 Pro

Apple’s second beta of iOS 15.2 brings a Macro mode toggle to the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max when Auto Macro is disabled in Settings. This allows users to manually turn off Macro mode directly from the Camera app when it automatically enables.

The new feature enables a flower icon on the bottom left of the screen when the camera is close enough to an object to trigger Macro mode. Users can then tap the flower icon to disable and re-enable Macro mode.

To enable the new toggle, go to “Settings” -> “Camera” and turn off “Auto Macro.” Then, when close enough to an object, the toggle will automatically appear. New Preserve Settings for Auto Macro are also available.

iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2 also add support for App Privacy Report, which allows users to see how often apps are accessing sensitive info granted to them through privacy permissions, such as location, camera, microphone, and contacts.

iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 introduced the Record App Activity feature, allowing people to save a summary of sensor, data, and internet access from apps on their device.

iOS 15.2 beta 2 adds Apple’s Messages Communication Safety feature for kids and a modified Notification Summary.

An update to Emergency SOS Auto Call feature allows it to be enabled by pressing on the side button rapidly or holding down the side button and the volume button together. A longer eight-second countdown (up from three seconds) now gives users more time to cancel an accidental dial.
