Apple is celebrating the end of the first year of the Mac’s transition to Apple Silicon by gifting a unique t-shirt to engineers and staffers who worked on the M1 chip. That information comes from an image shared on Twitter by an Apple engineer. (Via MacRumors)

Senior Apple software engineer Andy Boretto tweeted an image of a t-shirt with an illustration of the ‌M1‌ chip and an accompanying glow. He also showed a card from Apple that reads, “Every so often, something comes along that changes everything. Congratulations and thank you for helping make Apple ‌M1‌ possible!”

Apple announced in June 2020 that it would be transitioning its Mac lineup to Apple Silicon, releasing the first Mac with an M1 processor in November of that year. Apple said that it expected the transition to take a total of two years to complete. The company has over the last year released an iPad Pro model powered by an M1 chip, while also releasing new Macs with M1 Pro and M1 Pro Max chips boasting improved performance and battery life.
