Apple Expected to Report Best Quarter Ever for Company

Apple is scheduled to post its earnings results for the fiscal first quarter of 2022 (calendar fourth quarter 2021) on Thursday, and it is expected that the company will announce the best quarter in company history.

Wall Street analysts on average estimate that Apple will report revenue of $118.3 billion for the quarter, says Yahoo Finance. That number would amount to an all-time quarterly revenue record for Apple, besting the $111.4 billion that it earned in the year-ago quarter.

Several products went on sale during the last quarter, including multiple iPhone 13 models, Apple Watch Series 7 models, the sixth-generation iPad mini, the ninth-generation iPad, third-generation AirPods, and redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. Apple also added three new colors to the HomePod mini lineup, and what was likely the main reason Apple made so much money, a tiny but expensive polishing cloth. (Come on, you know that was the big money maker.)

Apple devices and services have continued to be in strong demand as the COVID-19 pandemic stretches into its third year, causing customers to equip themselves for working and learning from home.

Apple will report its earnings results on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time. A conference call with Apple’s CEO Tim Cook and CFO Luca Maestri will follow at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
