Apple Highlights Apple Watch’s Life-Saving Potential in Emotional ‘911’ Ad

Apple has posted an emotional new ad entitled “911” that highlights the Apple Watch’s life-saving potential in emergencies. The suspense-filled ad concerns three Apple Watch users that were able to call for help using 911 on their wearables.

The new ad revolves around Amanda, Jason, and Jim who frantically called 911 dispatchers for assistance in life-threatening situations. (Such as Amanda’s situation, where she flipped her car and saw it filling up with water.)

All three stories have happy endings. “These are just three of many incredible stories where people were able to get help using Apple Watch,” wrote Apple in the video’s description.

The ad promotes an important safety feature of the Apple Watch, allowing you to dial 911 directly from your wrist. Emergency SOS allows a user to quickly get in touch with emergency services by pressing and holding the watch’s side button and swiping on the Emergency SOS slider that appears on the screen. (The feature requires an Apple Watch with cellular connectivity or to be connected by a WiFi network if a connected iPhone is not nearby.)
