Apple to Offer New Unity and Lunar New Year Apple Watch Activity Challenges During February

Apple Watch users will be able to participate in two new Activity Challenges soon. One challenge will celebrate Lunar New Year and one that will celebrate Black History Month.

For the Lunar New Year Activity Challenge, Apple Watch owners simply need to do any workout for at least 20 minutes between February 1 and February 15 to win the award. Currently, we don’t know if this is a worldwide challenge or if the challenge will be limited to countries where Lunar New Year is celebrated.

Apple Watch owners can also earn the “Unity” award to celebrate Black History Month by closing their Move ring seven days in a row in February.

As with all of Apple’s Activity Challenges, the New Year challenge will be accompanied by an award that can be viewed in the Fitness app as well as a series of animated stickers that can be used in the Messages app.

The new workout challenges are just the latest in a series of challenges offered by Apple, offering special badges and Messages stickers to Apple Watch owners that complete them.
