CES 2022: Satechi Unveils Pro Hub Max and USB-4 Multiport Adapter with 8K HDMI

Satechi on Wednesday unveiled two new accessories designed for use with Apple’s latest Macbooks. Satechi’s USB-4 Multiport Adapter with 8K HDMI and the Pro Hub Max are both designed to expand the number of available ports for Apple’s MacBook models.

The USB-4 Multiport Adapter with 8K HDMI offers significant upgrades on bandwidth for video and data, fast transfer rates of up to 40Gbps, and backward compatibility with USB 3.2, Thunderbolt 3, and more. The adapter’s 8K HDMI output offers output at an additional refresh rate of up to 60Hz.

The USB-4 Multiport Adapter with 8K HDMI features multiple ports for every essential work necessity, including 8K HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, USB-C PD charging, USB-A data up to 10 Gbps, and micro/SD card readers. The adapter’s construction allows for better heat dissipation as well, preventing connected devices from overheating.

The Pro Hub Max is designed to work with Apple’s M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBooks and includes a 4K HDMI port for dual display functionality that supports up to 60Hz, a Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, micro/SD card readers, and an audio jack.

The Pro Hub Max plugs into two of the USB-C ports on the side of a new MacBook Pro model.

The USB-4 Multiport Adapter with 8K HDMI is priced at $150, while the Pro Hub Max is priced at $100. Both will be available from Satechi in the near future, and customers can ask to be notified when the new accessories are available for sale.
