Apple today released watchOS 8.4.1, a minor update to its watchOS 8 operating system for the Apple Watch for Series 4 and later models. The release of watchOS 8.4.1 comes one week following the release of watchOS 8.4.
watchOS 8.4.1 can be downloaded for free through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to “General” -> “Software Update.” The Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% battery charge, needs to be on a charger, and needs to be in the range of the iPhone.
The watchOS 8.4.1 update is compatible with the Apple Watch Series 4 and later. watchOS 8.4.1 introduces unspecified fixes for the Apple Watch Series 4 and later. Apple hasn’t announced what the new software fixes, but if we find out what the changes are, we’ll update you in this space.
