Original Angry Birds Returns to Apple App Store and Google Play Store

Original Angry Birds Returns to Apple App Store and Google Play Store

The original Angry Birds has made its triumphant return to Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. This is the Angry Birds game that kicked off the long-running franchise.

Rovio explained to fans last year that the reason it takes older titles out of circulation is because they used outdated game engines and design. “Today’s mobile technology and games landscape has evolved to a place where supporting them was untenable,” the company wrote. If the developer left the apps in app stores without updating them, they would soon be incompatible with the latest mobile operating systems.

The company also responded to what it called a “big outcry for getting back some of the older fan favourites,” by working on new versions of the popular original games.
