Pandemic Lockdowns in China Push Back Delivery Times of High-End MacBook Pro Models

Component shortages and ongoing COVID-related lockdowns are causing the delivery times of high-end MacBook Pro models to be pushed back, says Apple industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

M1 Max and customer M1 Pro versions of the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro deliveries are delayed until late May or early June in the online Apple Store, and in-store pickups are unavailable until June.

MacRumors reports that many of its readers who waiting on MacBook Pro models ordered in March and April are now seeing their significantly delayed shipments due to Apple’s supply issues.

Meanwhile, Kuo says the delivery status of Apple’s new iPhone SE, which is assembled by Pegatron, remains “in stock in the Apple online stores in several countries, easily handling “lackluster demand” for the handset.

We may learn more about Apple’s supply chain issues during the Cupertino firm’s fiscal Q2 2022 earnings call, which will take place on Thursday, April 28.
