iOS 15.5 Wallet App Now Supports Apple Account Cards

In iOS 15.5, Apple has updated the Wallet App to allow users to add an “Apple Account Card,” which displays the user’s Apple credit balance associated with their Apple ID.

App Store and Apple Store gift cards are added to an Apple Account that was previously only visible in the App Store or Apple Store apps. Now, the Apple Account can also be added to a new card in the Wallet app.

To add the card, on devices running iOS 15.5 or later, open up the Wallet app, and under “Available Cards,” tap on “Add Apple Account.” As long as you have an Apple Account balance, you’ll be able to add the card. (Unfortunately, users that have a separate iCloud account and  app store account will be unable to add the card.)

Once added, your Apple Account balance can be viewed from inside of the Wallet app and use it to purchase Apple products, apps, games, and music. The Apple Account Card replaces the iTunes Pass that used to be available quite some time ago.
