The new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max both boast a new feature called always-on display. The new feature allows the phone to always display a tinted version of your iPhone’s lock screen, widgets, and more.
While this is a cool feature and sips power, thanks to the iPhone 14 Pro’s improved OLED display, which can drop to a variable refresh rate as low as 1Hz, lessening the display’s drain on the device’s battery, you may decide you don’t like the feature.

How to Disable the iPhone 14 Pro Always-on Display
- Launch the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap through to Display & Brightness.
- Scroll down and toggle off the switch next to Always On.
Now, your iPhone’s display will now turn off when you press the power button and remain off until you press it again or pick up the device.
