Apple Seeds First Public Beta of macOS Ventura 13.1 for Testing

Apple today seeded the first public beta of macOS Ventura 13.1 to public beta testers. The first developer beta was released on Wednesday.

Registered Public Beta Testers can download and install the macOS Ventura 13.1 public betas through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences after installing the proper profile.

Mac users who want to be a part of Apple’s beta testing program can sign up to participate on the Apple Beta Software Program website, which gives users access to iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS betas.

‌macOS Ventura‌ 13.1 beta debuts the Freeform creative collaboration app. The app can be used for brainstorming, planning out ideas, jotting down notes, and more.

The update also introduces support for an updated Home app architecture.

macOS Ventura is compatible with the following Mac models:

  • iMac 2017 and later
  • Mac Pro 2019 and later
  • iMac Pro 2017
  • Mac mini 2018 and later
  • MacBook Air 2018 and later
  • MacBook 2017 and later
  • MacBook Pro 2017 and later

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
