iOS 16.0.3 Now Available: Fixes CarPlay Microphone Levels, Notification Delays, and More

Apple today released iOS 16.0.3, which is a minor bug fix update that fixes recently discovered bugs. The iOS 16.0.3 update can be downloaded on compatible iPhones over-the-air by tapping Settings -> General -> Software Update.

Apple’s release notes for the update are as follows:

This update provides bug fixes and important security updates for your iPhone including the following:

– Incoming call and app notifications may be delayed or not delivered on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max
– Low microphone volume can occur during CarPlay phone calls on iPhone 14 models
– Camera may be slow to launch or switch between modes on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max
– Mail crashes on launch after receiving a malformed email

The next major update to iOS 16 will likely be iOS 16.1, which is expected to be released alongside iPadOS 16.1 in the near future.
