Apple TV+ Gets 17 Children’s and Family Emmy Nominations

Apple TV+ has scored 17 Children’s and Family Emmy nominations for 10 of its programs. Winners will be announced on December 10 and 11 at 5 PM Pacific on both nights.

Apple’s streaming service has from the beginning placed a priority on quality over quantity, drawing critical acclaim for much of its content, and the tradition continues with the first-ever Children’s and Family Emmys event.

According to a report from Deadline, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the new stand-alone awards show in November 2021 after a couple of years of making changes to how the children’s categories were presented.

“Putting a spotlight on children’s & family programming after years of unparalleled growth in content quality and quantity in this space is an exciting moment for the television industry,” NATAS President and CEO Adam Sharp said. “These programs entertain, inform and educate family members of all ages, and NATAS is proud to mark this milestone event and give these creators the stage they deserve.”
