Apple Celebrates Japanese New Year With Limited Edition AirTag

As in previous years, Apple will celebrate the Japanese New Year. Apple will hold a two-day promotion that offers customers in Japan a free Apple gift card worth up to ¥32,000 with the purchase of an eligible Apple product on January 2 and January 3.

Gift card amounts include a ¥4,000 card for second-generation AirPods, as well as ¥32,000 for the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro.

Plus, during the promotion, the first 30,000 customers in Japan who purchase a new iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 12, or iPhone SE from Apple will receive a limited-edition AirTag with a Year of the Rabbit engraving for 2023. (Last year’s promotion offered a limited-edition AirTag with Year of the Tiger engraving.)

Target store

Customers may receive a special edition AirTag (“Special Edition Product”) at no additional cost. It will end as soon as the stock of 30,000 pieces is gone. Customers who purchased an eligible iPhone through the Apple Store app are ineligible for this promotion and will not receive a special edition product. This campaign cannot be applied for after completing the purchase procedure.

Please note that iPhone orders placed through the Apple Store app will not qualify for a limited-edition AirTag, so be sure to complete the purchase on Apple’s website. The promotion will also be available at Apple’s retail stores in Japan.
