Apple has begun selling refurbished iPad mini 6 and 2021 iPad Pro models in its online refurbished store for the first time.
Pricing on the iPad mini 6 starts at $419 for the 64GB model, which is an $80 discount off of the original $499 starting price tag. Multiple color options are available, with a 256GB model also available for $549, which is a $100 discount.
The iPad mini 6 debuted in September 2021, and boasts an edge-to-edge display and Touch ID power button. At 7.9 inches, the iPad mini 6 is Apple’s smallest tablet.
The refurbished third-generation 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $639 for 128GB of storage. Pricing for the fifth-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at $889, also for 128GB of storage. Color options include Space Gray and Silver. Higher storage tiers and cellular iPad Pro models at discounted prices are also available.
The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models initially debuted in 2021 and they feature prior-generation M1 chips.
Each Apple Certified Refurbished Product:
- undergoes full functionality testing and any defective modules identified in testing are replaced.
- is put through a thorough cleaning process and inspection.
- is repackaged (including appropriate manuals, cables, new boxes).
- includes either the Operating System originally shipped with the unit or, in some cases, a more recent version.
- is placed into a Final QA inspection prior to being added to sellable refurbished stock.
Refurbishment procedures follow the same basic technical guidelines as Apple’s Finished Goods testing procedures.
