Some Users Report Apple Weather App Data Not Loading

Apple is currently experiencing issues with its Weather app, as users report issues with the app properly loading information from the app’s weather data provider. Users are reporting they are unable to view live weather information and regional forecasts, says a report by MacRumors.

The issue appears to be affecting many users across the globe, with Weather apps on the iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and macOS platforms being affected.

At the time of this article, Apple’s System Status webpage shows that the Cupertino firm is currently trying to resolve an issue with its Weather service. While clicking the issue summary lists next-hour precipitation as unavailable for Alaska “due to a data provider outage,” a large number of regions and forecast types are down.

Apple says the issue “some users” are seeing began around 10 PM Monday as of writing and is “ongoing.” In addition to this outage, some iPhone users report having intermittent issues with Weather apps since the iOS 16.4 update release, one week ago.
