Apple Online Store Down Ahead of WWDC Keynote: New Macs and More Expected to be Unveiled

Apple Online Store Down Ahead of WWDC Keynote: New Macs and More Expected to be Unveiled

Apple’s online store is down ahead of today’s WWDC 2023 keynote, which is scheduled for 10 a.m. Pacific Time. Apple is expected to unveil its much-rumored AR/VR headset, a 15-inch MacBook Air model, and possibly new Mac Studio models.

Apple traditionally shuts down its online store prior to unveiling new hardware, to prepare for pre-orders of the new devices. This time around, the temporary shuttering of the store is likely due to new Macs, as it is estimated by investment firms and other observers that Apple’s AR/VR settlement is still months away from entering mass production and a public release.

The new 15-inch MacBook Air that we’re expecting to see today is rumored to use Apple’s M2 chip. If updated Mac Studio models debut, they are expected to be powered by M2 Max and M2 Ultra chips.

Stay tuned to Mactrast, as we’ll be covering the WWDC 2023 keynote and we’ll be reporting on announcements throughout the day.
