The ITHome report says display suppliers, like Tianma, are working to receive orders from Apple for AMOLED panels suitable for the Cupertino firm’s fourth-generation ‌iPhone SE‌. While a larger supplier, like BOE, is likely to receive the lion’s share of the iPhone SE display pie, Tianma could get the gig as a secondary supplier.

The report says Apple display panel procurement staff visited several OLED manufacturers in China during the first half of 2023 in search of quality suppliers for the iPhone SE 4 displays.

We’ve seen several rumors about the fourth-generation iPhone SE, even though it isn’t expected to be available until 2025. Analyst Jeff Pu has said Apple is planning on releasing an iPhone SE with a custom-designed 5G modem in 2025.

In March, it was reported that Apple supply partner BOE has been contracted to supply the OLED panels for Apple’s much-rumored fourth-generation iPhone SE.

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to use the same OLED specifications originally put in place for 2021’s iPhone 13 or 2022’s iPhone 14.
