The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max boast a more easily repairable internal design. The Pro handsets’ redesigned frame allows the back glass panel to be easily removed from the devices.
It was expected that the removable back glass would likely result in lower repair fees for iPhone 15 Pro models with cracked back glass for customers without AppleCare+ coverage. As noted by Ian Zelbo, that’s what has happened, as Apple has updated its U.S. website to include iPhone 15 repair fees. The updated list shows that Apple will charge $169 or $199 to repair the iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max with back glass damage. The same repair on an iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max is $499 or $549.
For customers who have purchased AppleCare+ coverage for their iPhone, the back glass damage repair fee is $29.
