iOS 17.0.2 and iPadOS 17.0.2 Now Available for All Compatible iPhones and iPads

Apple today released iOS 17.0.2 and iPadOS 17.0.2, minor updates to iOS 17 and iPadOS 17. The new updates come just five days after the releases of iOS 17.0.1 and iPadOS 17.0.1.

The software, build 21A351, can be downloaded and installed on compatible iPhones and iPads over-the-air by going to “Settings” -> “General” -> “Software Update.”

If you’re thinking, “Wait, didn’t they release iOS 17.0.2 last week?” Well, you are correct, but that iOS 17.0.2 was limited to the iPhone 15 lineup. iPhone 15 users were prompted to update to iOS 17.0.2 Apple has now made iOS 17.0.2 available for all iPhones compatible with iOS 17, but ‌iPhone 15‌ users already have the update and will not be prompted to download the update.

Apple’s release notes say iOS 17.0.2 fixes an issue that could prevent transferring data directly from another ‌iPhone‌ during setup, an issue that affected the ‌iPhone 15‌ models. The iPadOS 17.0.2 release notes mention the same issue, but instead mention transferring from another ‌iPad‌.
