Apple Seeds First Public Beta of macOS Sonoma 14.2 for Testing

Apple Seeds First Public Beta of macOS Sonoma 14.2 for Testing

Apple on Friday seeded the first public beta of its macOS Sonoma 14.2 update. The new public beta comes one day after the release of the developer beta seed.

Public beta testers can download the macOS Sonoma 14.2 update from the Software Update section of the System Preferences app after signing up on Apple’s beta testing website and opting into the public beta under the Beta Updates section.

macOS Sonoma 14.2 brings Messages sticker reactions, as well as support for collaborative Apple Music playlists, allowing multiple people to add songs to a single playlist.

A new Favorites ‌Apple Music‌ playlist is now available, as well as better support for Messages in iCloud syncing, and iMessage Contact Key Verification for people who face extraordinary digital threats.

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
