Apple Stops Signing iOS 17.0.3 Following Release of 17.1

Apple recently released iOS 17.1, and as is traditional, has now stopped signing iOS 17.0.3, making downgrading to that version of iOS no longer possible. Oddly enough, Apple is continuing to sign iOS 17.0.2 for now.

The iOS 17.1 software can be downloaded on compatible devices over the air by going to “Settings” -> “General” -> “Software Update.”

Apple also stopped signing iOS 15.7.9, iOS 16.7, and iOS 16.7.1.

Falling back to an older iOS build is often used by users who jailbreak their iPhones. Restoring an iPhone or iPad to a previous version of iOS can also sometimes be helpful for users who experience significant bugs after upgrading to the latest version of iOS.
