iOS 17.4.1 Update for iPhone Coming Soon, Says Report

Apple should release iOS 17.4.1 and iPadOS 17.4.1 sometime in the next few days. The release will have a build number of 21E235, according to a report from MacRumors.

The same publication last week reported seeing visits from devices running iOS 17.4.1 in their website logs.

The publication has also reported in the past when it saw devices using unannounced iOS updates in its website logs, including iOS 17.0.3 to iOS 17.3.1.

iOS 17.4.1 should be a minor update, likely addressing software bugs and security holes. We’re not sure when iOS 17.4.1 will be released to the public, but we’ll likely see it sometime in the next week or so.

Apple is also expected to release the first betas of its iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5 updates sometime this week. We’ll also likely see a macOS 14.4.1 update for the Mac sometime soon, following reports of issues with USB hubs, monitors, printers, Java, and more.
