Opera Announces Opera Air – New Browser Brings Meditation and Wellness to Web Browsing

Opera has announced Opera Air, “the world’s first browser with mindfulness at its core.” Opera says the new web browser allows users to discover a focused, balanced, and stress-free web.

The browser incorporates several wellness tools, offering breathing exercises, meditation sessions, and binaural beats. These features are available through two main functions: “Take a Break” and “Boosts.”

Take a Break

The “Take a Break” feature provides guided wellness exercises lasting from 3 to 15 minutes. The exercises include meditation, breathing exercises, and full body scans. Users can remember to take mindful breaks throughout their browsing sessions by setting reminders.

Boosts

The new browser’s “Boosts” feature takes advantage of binaural beats technology, playing slightly different frequencies in each ear to influence brainwave activity. Preset options include “Creativity Boost,” “Energized Focus,” and “Deep Relaxation.” Nature sounds and background music are available, with sessions lasting from 15 minutes to unlimited duration.

The Opera Air browser is designed to maintain its core browser functionality while providing wellness features in a non-disruptive way. Users can continue browsing or working while using the wellness features.

Opera Air offers many of the same features s the company’s traditional browser, including a built-in VPN, an ad blocker, Aria AI, and more.

Opera Air is available to download today from the company’s website.
