64GB No More! – Apple’s 64GB Device Era Ends

With Apple’s release of the iPhone 16e and 11th-generation iPad, all of the iPhone and iPad models that Apple currently offers now boast storage of at least 128GB, bringing the 64GB era to a close.

Until the recent device updates, only the iPhone SE (which the iPhone 16e replaced) and the 10th-generation iPad offered 64GB of base storage. Now that both devices have been discontinued, 128GB is the smallest amount of storage in an iPhone or iPad. If you just have to have an iPhone or iPad with just 64GB, you can still find them in Apple’s refurbished store and from many electronics dealers.

The iPhone 16e and 11th-gen iPad are not the only Apple devices to receive a bump in tech specs. In October, Apple sold the last new Mac to have 8GB minimum of RAM in its base configuration, as all new Macs now are configured with at least 16GB RAM.
