Apple today released iOS 18.3.2 and iPadOS 18.3.2, updates to its iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 software that was released last year. The updates include an important security fix for a WebKit vulnerability that may have been actively exploited.
The iOS 18.3.2 and iPadOS 18.3.2 updates come one month after the release of iOS 18.3.1 and iPadOS 18.3.1.
The new software can be downloaded over-the-air on eligible iPhones and iPads, by going to “Settings” -> “General” -> “Software Update.”
According to Apple’s release notes, the iOS 18.3.2 update adds important bug fixes and security updates.
Most of the issue was addressed with iOS 17.2, but Apple has added an additional supplementary fix in today’s updates.
Apple says that it is aware of a report that the vulnerability may have been exploited “in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals.” It should be noted that these attacks happened prior to iOS 17.2.
The issue was addressed with improved checks to prevent unauthorized actions.
On some devices, the update fixes an issue that could prevent playback of some streaming content.
