iOS 19 will be unveiled at WWDC25 in June, and according to a private account on X, the new iPhone operating system will not be compatible with the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, or the iPhone XS Max. The account has provided accurate information on device compatibility in the past.
It appears that iOS 19 will be dropping support for the A12 Bionic chip, which powers the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max.

While the iPhones listed above are expected to support iOS 19, there will likely be advanced features that will only be available on newer iPhones with more advanced processors. As an example, iOS 18’s Apple Intelligence runs only on the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 16 models.
Meanwhile, iPadOS 19 is expected to drop support for the seventh-generation low-cost iPad with A10 Fusion chip.
