There’s good news and bad news for Apple Card users. The bad news first.
Apple partners with select merchants to offer three percent Cash Back for Apple Card users that pay with the card via Apple Pay to pay for goods or services. While T-Mobile has been a participant in the program since 2019, that perk will end in July. On July 1, 2025 Daily Cash back for T-Mobile transactions will fall to the standard two percent rebate.
As noted in Apple’s Daily Cash support document, beginning on July 1, 2025, Apple Card with Apple Pay transactions at T-Mobile, including payments for monthly service bills, will result in the standard two percent cash back, instead of the previous three percent.
Apple is still provides three percent cash for Apple Pay purchases via Aple Card from several merchants, including:
- Ace Hardware
- Booking.com (Apple Card customers can also earn two percent in Booking.com Travel Credits when usinf Apple Card on eligible stays and car rentals when purchased through this link.)
- ChargePoint
- Duane Read
- Exxon and Mobil gas stations
- Nike
- Uber
- Uber Eats
- Uber One
- Walgreens
Now for the good news portion of our broadcast.
Apple Card holders can now score a free six-month free trial of the Uber One service. Apple announced the new perk in emails sent out on Thursday.
Uber One is a subscription deivery service that offers $0 delivery fees for Uber Eats orders, offering up to ten percent off eligible delivery orders or pickup orders. It also offers six percent in credits for use on Uber One rides. The new Uber One benefit for Apple Card users is worth $9.99 per month, making the free trial a $60 value.
Keep in mind that the free six-month tril for Uber Eats will auto-renew at $9.99 per month at the end of the trial period ends if the membership is not cancelled before then. Apple Card users that cancel before the six month trial is up can still benefit from the full six-month trial.
Apple Card users eill need to use the link included in the Uber Eats promotional email and sign up for the subscription using an Apple Card and Apple Pay as the payment method.
The trial offer is available to new or returning Uber One subscribers, but not to existing subscribers.
