Apple has released an updated version of its “Move to iOS” app for the Android platform, adding new features to make it easier to switch from an Android device to the iPhone, reports MacRumors.
Move to iOS is an app from Apple that allows Android users to switch to an iPhone and move their data, contacts, messages, and more to their new iPhone.
Making data transfers from an Android phone to an iPhone via USB-C cable or USB-C to Lightning cable are now faster, and the app displays tips for using iOS during the migration process.
Voice recordings from Android devices will now migrate to the Voice Memos or Files apps, depending on the file format. The update also adds support for new languages in India.
Apple’s full release notes for the update are as follows:
- Faster data migration using a cabled connection between your iPhone and your Android phone (USB-C or USB-C to Lightning)
- Connect over WiFi or Personal Hotspot
- iOS tips are now displayed during migration
- Call history and Dual SIM labels are now migrated
- Voice recordings are now migrated to the Voice Memos app or the Files app depending on the file format
- New languages supported: Bangla, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu
Android users can download Move to iOS from the Google Play store.
