Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup will debut in September, and of the four iPhones models that will be unveiled then, two of them are going to get all-new display sizes. The two models are the iPhone 17 Air, which we’ve heard plenty about, but it appears the base model iPhone 17 will also hae a different display size.
Display analyst Ross Young today reiterated the screen sizes expected for the entire iPhone 17 lineup:
- iPhone 17 – 6.27-inch display, up from 6.12 inches.
- iPhone 17 Air – 6.55 inches.
- iPhone 17 Pro – 6.27-inch display, same as iPhone 16 Pro.
- iPhone 17 Pro Max – 6.86-inch display, same as iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Other than a new display size, the iPhone 17 looks to be getting the fewest changes in 2025. While the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Air are said to receive a new horizontal rear camera bar, the iPhone 17 camera is expected to look the same as the iPhone 16’s rear camera.
There will be notable new features though, as the entire iPhone 17 lineup’s is displays are expected to get a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate, an improved 24-megapixel selfie camera, and a more powerful A19 chip.
