visionOS 2.5 Now Available – Brings Vision Tab for Apple TV App

Apple on Monday released visionOS 2.5, the fifth major update of the visionOS 2 operating system for the Apple Vision Pro. visionOS 2 was released in September. visionOS 2.5 comes a bit more than one month after the release of visionOS 2.4.

The ‌visionOS‌ 2.5 update can be installed by opening the Settings app on the Vision Pro and going to the “General” section and selecting “Software Update.” To install the update, the Vision Pro headset will need to be removed to install new software, and a progress bar will be shown on the front EyeSight display.

visionOS 2.5 adds a Vision tab to the Apple TV app to make it easier for users to find content created for the Vision Pro.

This release includes improvements and bug fixes, including a new Vision tab in the Apple TV app to easily discover and watch Apple Immersive Video and 3D movies available on Apple Vision Pro.

This is likely one of the last updates we’ll see for visionOS 2, as visionOS 3 will likely be unveiled in June at WWDC 2025.
