Even though Apple last week released the first beta of macOS Tahoe 26 last Monday, it looks like we’re going to see at least one more update to macOS Sequoia. Apple today seeded the first beta of its upcoming macOS Sequoia 15.6 update to developers for testing, with the new seed coming about a month after Apple released macOS Sequoia 15.5 to the public.
The betas are currently only available to registered developers at this time, and can be downloaded from the settings app on each device.
It’s not yet clear what new features or fixes are included in macOS Sequoia 15.6. There have been rumors that Apple plans to bring Apple Intelligence to China. There have been some regulatory hurdles that Apple is dealing with, so Apple Intelligence in China might not make an appearance in macOS 15.6. When we hear more about what’s new in the beta, we’ll update you in this space.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
