Apple Seeds Revised iOS 26 Beta to Developers – Fixes Battery Issue

Apple Seeds Revised iOS 26 Beta to Developers – Fixes Battery Issue

Apple on Friday seeded a revised beta of iOS 26 to developers with iPhone 15 or iPhone 16 model, meaning developers with an iPhone 14 or earlier model will not see the revised beta.

Developers can download the revised beta by going to the Settings app, then tapping on “General” -> “Software Update” on their iPhone.

The revised beta addresses an issue that could cause some iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 handsets to display a low battery symbol and be unable to start up after installing the initial iOS 26 beta.

iOS 26 has a new design that is crafted with Liquid Glass, which is a new translucent material that reflects and refracts its surroundings, bringing greater focus to content. The new design is used on both the Lock Screen and Home Screen, bringing new customization options to app icons and widgets, including a clear look.

The new software also offers improved APple Intelligence features, including Live Translation, which is integrated into Messages, FaceTime, and Phone to help users communicate across languages, translating text and audio on the fly.

iOS 26 is available through the Apple Developer Program at developer.apple.com, and a public beta will be available through the Apple Beta Software Program next month at beta.apple.com. The new software will be available this fall as a free software update for iPhone 11 and later.
