If you’ve spent four figures on an Hermès Apple Watch model, you’re going to want to hold off on installing watchOS 26 beta 2.
Apple’s watchOS 26 beta 2 release notes actually say the beta causes the Apple Watch Hermès to crash continually, saying Hermès Apple Watch owners should NOT update to beta 2 at this time.

Known Issues
- Apple Watch Hermès crashes continuously if updated to watchOS 26 beta 2. It is advised that these users do not update to beta 2. (152604139)
Users that install watchOS 26 beta 2 on a Hermès Apple Watch report it causes the Apple Watch to overheat, crash continually, and fail to charge. The Hermès Apple Watch face is apprently the culprit.
MacRumors reports that its readers indicate that updating to the iOS 26 beta 2 on the Hermès Apple Watches causes the Apple Watch app on the Watch’s paired iPhone to not open. Unpairing the Hermès Apple Watch from the device allows the Apple Watch app to open again, but attempting to re-pair the watch fails.
While Apple will likely fix the bug causing the issue in the next round or watchOS 26 and iOS 26 betas, do not install install the new betas until Apple confirms the issue has been fixed.
